How can we harvest, or collect, our experiences from our families, school, and community in order to learn more about each other and connect through commonalities while appreciating our uniqueness and then share them in a live, virtual, celebration of homecoming?
How can we harvest, or collect, our experiences from our families, school, and community in order to learn more about each other and connect through commonalities while appreciating our uniqueness and then share them in a live, virtual, celebration of homecoming?
HARVEST, or collect, an experience from your family traditions, community and environment, or school spirit. Use one of the exercises or examples from the categories below. Involve your friends, classmates or family members!
EXPRESS your experience in a way that can be shared through an image, video, or audio file. Consider these types of creations:
a poem
a song
a dance
oral storytelling
visual art
crafts
recipe tutorials
SUBMIT your creation as an image, audio file, or video file by emailing it to wolfie@ps200.com by Friday, Nov. 6. Be sure to fill out a DOE Consent form (found in your child's Google Classroom assignments) so that your creation can be shared publicly.
TIPS:
Crop your image so that only your artwork is in the image.
Film your video horizontally (landscape) and keep the video to around 1 minute in length.
Use headphones when recording yourself singing or playing along with the school spirit songs to eliminate the play-along track from your recording.
